Method for the elaboration and validation of transport research instrument

Transportation research, which focuses on residential mobility, requires the collection of data that involves both individual and built environment aspects. In order to contribute in aim this article was develop a method create research instrument from initial phases final validations. Methodological aspects related analysis, translation adaptation international instruments, validations (content validity, face validity), statistical analysis pre-test, as well internal consistency reliability convergent discriminant were addressed. It concluded by executing methodological rigor all stages development, there is high probability success collection, obtaining acceptable indices for scales, constructs, variables, enabling replication instrument.
